Beth Moore LIVE

Can you guess where I was this Friday and Saturday? I am grateful that I was able to attend Living Proof Ministries LIVE with Beth Moore. I have been doing her bible studies for the last 5 years and have learned so much about God and who I am in Christ.

I was so excited and humbled by Beth this weekend. She has such a passion and love for women of all ages and it just seeps through her. God was definitely there!! Well a few of my close friends and I decided to make it a Girls Weekend. We started off Friday meeting at Chuy's for lunch. But it wouldn't be a girls weekend if we didn't get some shopping in. We decided to go to a place called Beads and Bags. It has tons of purses, rows and rows, walls and walls full of them. We found the most interesting ones to pose with. I kept going up to my friends and asking them if they knew what time it was (just look at the purse I am holding).

Let me introduce you to my friends from left to right: Lori, Me, Carrie, Brandy and Emily.

Once purchases were made we headed off to the Westin Hotel. It is a beautiful hotel and what a blessing it was to stay there. Thanks to our friend Emily and her husband we were able to lay our heads down for the little sleep we got in this wonderful hotel. Thanks again Emily and Shawn! We also discovered that this is where Beth and the Praise team stayed because we saw them walking through the lobby to go and get their cars loaded Saturday morning. Let me just say that you could see the love of God glowing from them.

Before our visit to the Alamo Dome Friday night it wouldn't be complete to go somewhere here in San Antonio with out visiting a Starbucks. So here we are having drink and snack before heading off to find the trolley. Let me just say that I was a tourist in my own city here in San Antonio. I had to stop some nice strangers to ask them where do we find the yellow trolley. I will say this there are still some nice and helpful people around.

So off we went and here we are at BETH MOORE LIVE!!!

So here we are!!! Ready and eager to see what God has in store for us!!!

Here is TRAVIS and may I just say that he and the Praise Team were awesome. At one point you would have thought it was angels singing in the Alamo Dome!

This is the best and closest picture I could get of Beth. The message God gave Beth for us was about our Inheritance.

Psalm 16:5&6 - English Standard Version

5 The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot.

6 The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.

God's Inheritance involves 3 things:

Presence - God among us (Gen 26:23, Joshua 1:9)

People - Our relationships with others (Gen 12:3, 22; 22:17-18; Deuteronomy 4:20; Psalm 16:3; Rev 7:9)

Property - our lot (Numbers 26:52-56, Matt 25:34)

Here are the 8 point she talked on:

1. I am an heir of God. My life is not left to chance. (Psalm 16:5) - My life is full of choices, not chance

2. I am an heir of God. I am inheriting a kingdom. (Matt 25:34, Col 1:11-14, Dan 7:18) - It will not be boring

3. I am an heir of God. He is my portion...and I AM his. (1 Pet 2:4-5, Psalm 73:25-26, Psalm 19:57, Lamentations 3:24) - We are the blessed inheritance of God

4. I am an heir of God. The down-payment has been made. (Eph 1:18, Eph 1:11-14, Rev 22:4 , 2 Tim 2:13, Romans 8) - Christ made a deposit of His own Spirit

5. I am an heir of God. My boundary lines form a pleasing place. (1 Peter 1:4, Rom 8:18)

6. I am an heir of God. The will has been activated. (Gal 3:29, Gal 4:1-8, Heb 9:15-17, Psalm 16:5-6) - Jesus died and came back to life so our inheritance would be secure

7. I am an heir of God. I can be secure. (Col 3:23-24) - Don't crave affirmation and affection from people, I am Now living an affirmation of faith!

8. I am an heir of God. I have a beautiful inheritance. (Isaiah 61:7, 2 Tim 4:6-7, Isaiah 61:1-3, Heb 11:16&39-40, Eph 3:6) - We are Co-Heirs so we get a double portion

What a message!

So after the conference Friday night we headed out to find something for dinner and ended up at Hard Rock to pick up salads and potato skins and took them outside to eat. Let me just say that walking back to the Westin which is just like two blocks was very interesting.

So we talked for a while and went to bed and we woke up at 5:30 got dressed and headed down to this:

What a wonderful and delicious breakfast we all had!!

See our beautiful shirts? Carrie made them for us. Thanks so much Carrie.

Thanks again my FRIENDS for a wonderful Girl's Weekend with Beth Moore!! And thank you Beth Moore for your obedience to God and your passion and love for women of all ages!!

I wish I had know about the Siesta Fiesta, I would have LOVED to have been there and met all you Godly women. I hope to be there next time!!!!

Amy's first filling

Well, at our last dental appointment they thought that Amy had 2 cavities that needed to be taken care of. So 3 weeks later here she is ready for her procedure.

This morning I woke her up to take some medicine that needed to be taken 45 minutes before her procedure. I thought we were going to have issues but to my surprise and Amy's courage she drank her medicine in one gulp without a peep or complaint.

So we took off to Dr. Bob's ready to get her hand painted. She chose a purple octopus today but the medicine was kicking in and so instead of playing she relaxed on my lap. Then you hear her name being called and we went to the special room. Amy was such a trooper, never wined or complained but just ready to see what was going to happen, although she never let go of my hand during the whole procedure it made me feel proud to be the one to hold her tiny hand and give her comfort.

Oh and she didn't need 2 fillings, she only needed one. All I have to say is God Is GOOD!!

Emily's 1st day of 1st grade...

Oh my the excitement. Emily didn't want to go to sleep last night. I had to rub her back for about 30 minutes to get her to relax and then finally her eyes stayed closed.

This morning she was ready to get up and get ready. We took off and got to school around 7:35 and boy was it crazy. We got Emily's school supplies labeled and she was ready to begin. She was happy to be with her friends and ready to learn.

Here is my baby:

Of course with her Hannah Montana backpack.

Emily at her desk.

Where has the time gone? It goes way too fast, I can still remember the day we brought her home from the hospital - like it was yesterday.

I love you baby girl, yes, you will always be my baby girl!!
