Amy's birthday continues

Today we celebrated Amy's 4th birthday at Love to Swim School. Amy was so excited to have her friends and family there with her today and had so much fun!

Oh and look at the most precious cake that Carrie made for Amy. It was so delicious!

The 6th day

after Emily's surgery and we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel!!! Thank you so much everyone for your prayers.

She ate a baked potato, McDonald's hamburger (the bread part), jello, dilly bars and ice pops so I am feeling like her little appetite is coming back slowly and the pain is not as severe as it has been the past 5 days in her throat.

Emily asked me the other day if her breath smelled and I replied "yes baby girl it does." I then asked her why and she replied "I keep smelling something but didn't know where it was coming from." My poor princess I told her "it is part of the healing process."

Thanks again for your prayers!

The 5th day

after Emily's surgery and I really thought it was going to get better for her. This is how our very early morning started out.

My pour little princess was so ill that I ended up having to take her to the ER, where we found out that she was slightly dehydrated and on top of that has a stomach bug plus lets not forget the pain of the T&A surgery.

After some ivy fluids and being able to hold down 3 oz of Gatorade with out it coming up we finally were able to come home.

Oh, and lets not forget our pain medicine every 4 hours!!!

The 2nd day

after Emily's surgery and discomfort is present. I pray my little princess feels better soon for I know this too shall pass and it will all be worth it in the end.

Emily's Surgery

went quite well. I wasn't sure what to expect but Emily did great emotionally. We were scheduled for 9:00 this morning but she didn't go into surgery until 10:15. I was so proud of her because she didn't ask for anything to drink or eat before the procedure which surprised me. She is so brave and amazing!!!

Thank you Elizabeth for the Tinkerbell color wonder, Emily loves it and it help pass time until her procedure. Thanks Kendall, Elizabeth and Rylie for praying for Emily because God heard your prayers and answered them. She can't wait to see you all!!!

She made a call to Amy before her procedure to make sure she was praying for her.

Dr. Bonilla said that her tonsils and adenoids were so huge that he couldn't even believe that she was breathing. I am so happy that Emily will be able to breathe easier! When they called us back (to the recovery room) the anesthesia was wearing off and Emily was beginning to feel the effects of the pain from the procedure. She was so thirsty and wanting to drink something as she was crying and saying "I wish I never came here." It took everything in me not to let her see me cry because I didn't want her to be in such pain, but then thank God for heavy drugs which within minutes began to calm her and ease her pain. I will tell you once the drugs kicked in she was singing a whole different song. After some rest and a nap in the recovery room she was in better spirits and ready to go home.

Did I tell you how proud I am of my princess? She is such a gift one I don't take for granted!!!

Thank you everyone for your prayers, we are so blessed to have friends and family that care so much for us!!!

Did you Vote?

I did. I was so glad to go at 1:30 to only have 3 people ahead of me. Amy was the one to push the red button so I guess she was the one that really voted.

Now maybe my answering machine won't be filled up with messages from the democratic party and I can receive messages from people whom I care about and want to talk with. And hopefully every other commercial on TV wont be of Obama and Hilary.

Keep praying for our country and leaders, Lord knows we need Him.

Well, it has been a long while since I have posted and I plan on getting back to blogging more often. We attended the Rodeo carnival and guess who we saw?

Yes, Ronald McDonald. I told him we are the ones that keep him in business, LOL!
