went quite well. I wasn't sure what to expect but Emily did great emotionally. We were scheduled for 9:00 this morning but she didn't go into surgery until 10:15. I was so proud of her because she didn't ask for anything to drink or eat before the procedure which surprised me. She is so brave and amazing!!!
Thank you Elizabeth for the Tinkerbell color wonder, Emily loves it and it help pass time until her procedure. Thanks Kendall, Elizabeth and Rylie for praying for Emily because God heard your prayers and answered them. She can't wait to see you all!!!
She made a call to Amy before her procedure to make sure she was praying for her.
Dr. Bonilla said that her tonsils and adenoids were so huge that he couldn't even believe that she was breathing. I am so happy that Emily will be able to breathe easier! When they called us back (to the recovery room) the anesthesia was wearing off and Emily was beginning to feel the effects of the pain from the procedure. She was so thirsty and wanting to drink something as she was crying and saying "I wish I never came here." It took everything in me not to let her see me cry because I didn't want her to be in such pain, but then thank God for heavy drugs which within minutes began to calm her and ease her pain. I will tell you once the drugs kicked in she was singing a whole different song. After some rest and a nap in the recovery room she was in better spirits and ready to go home.
Did I tell you how proud I am of my princess? She is such a gift one I don't take for granted!!!
Thank you everyone for your prayers, we are so blessed to have friends and family that care so much for us!!!

Poor peanut! Glad she's such a trooper. I'm sure she's loving all the popsicles and ice cream.
